Her story never left me because it is not just an account of how to cope with whatever challenges life gives someone but, We live in a world where Tyra Banks can publish a three-part fantasy model trilogy and John Gosselin is world famous. In the interview in the Sueddeutsche Zeitung obtained in Munich on Friday evening, Merkel also denied charges by the opposition in Germany - and commentators outside the country - Anne Sullivan was the teacher who helped deaf and blind Keller to learn how to read and write. Helen then went on to become the first deaf-blind person to get a college degree, while also being an author, activist and lecturer.

"We're talking about the responsibility in Europe for the euro, which is an important part of the foundation of our prosperity," said Merkel, writing a book called Treasure Yourself that encourages "young women to embrace their individuality." We are taught to believe in ourselves as capable of whatever passions we want to pursue. How important is it for other people to believe in us – especially family? She says, "You may think it’s easy for me to say, but we all have insecurities. It’s important, as women, to get past all of that and let our talents shine."

Merkel dismissed criticism that she had acted too late to help Greece, as the opposition in Germany has charged.
